Eliminating the possibility of un-fostering and new rules for matching adopters with the foster child, that is what offers NFCA

National Foster Care Association sent its proposals to the working group that prepared the synchronization procedures for the adoption of children in foster care.

The Association insists at least one month to be the period in which the foster parents have to be notified of the impending adoption of the child to be part of the process of preparing the child for the changes in his life. In addition, foster parents provide the duration of the process of adjustment to the adoptive parents to be the way it is with host families - from 4 to 6 weeks. Association members offer that adoptive parents must pass a training course as foster parents in order to make it easier to adapt to the specifics of the child.

Foster parents insist the association to adopt measures in the legislation that would prohibit un-fostering. It is important to determine if foster parent returns a child, not to be able to reapply for a foster parent and adoptive parent. International practice shows that there are countries in which the child stays in the adoptive family for a period of six months in which the adoptive parents get used to the child. The adoption procedure started then. Thus prevents the un-fostering possibility. Of course, it is yet to be supervised and monitored by professionals who are responsible for the child.
