Foster mother from Vidin - Vanya Vankova is 200th member of the National Foster Care Association.

She is a 44 years old and will soon marry with his partner Vladimir, with whom she lives from long ago. For many years she worked in the field of trade, but love guided her to the Danube city.

She is the first foster parent in Vidin, which cares for abandoned newborn. She took little kid from the maternity ward to save his horrific consequences of care in the nursing home. Little boy is already two months. "No matter how small the children are, they have memories of everything and we have to work not to have scary and frightening memories from childhood and to become confident adults," says Vanya.

Vanya became a foster parent in the example of another foster mother in the city. Never before knew that in Vidin has foster care. She found it out during Christmas celebration at a school that has been invited to take pictures to the children. During the celebration a little girl cried because it recognized that Santa is dressed mother of another child. Then Vanya told the child that the real Santa actually hit his leg when he came down from the carriage and asked the mother of a classmate to replace him. Then Vanya had met grandmother, who cares for the child and so founds that the girl is in foster care.
