In 2015 The NFCA Will Focus on Young People from Foster Families
The National Foster Care Association held its Annual General Meeting, which was kindly hosted by the Complex for Children and Families in Plovdiv.
In 2015 the National Foster Care Association is will provide scholarships to first graders and students from 7th to 11th grade placed in foster families. The NFCA has will also organize summer and winter camps and socializing activities and events for those same children and young people. A priority for the association will be the creation of a support package for young people of age, currently placed in foster families and the realization of international exchange programs for foster youth. The NFCA is also going to provide immediate support to foster families through a hotline where they can share any emotional dilemmas and difficulties and receive guidance on ways to improve the care they provide. The Association will continue to protect foster families’ rights and to investigate their complaints and alerts.
During the General Meeting the decision to leave the membership fees for 2015 unchanged was made (12 leva for individuals and 120 leva for legal entities).
The General Meeting was held in accordance with the decision of the Board, made on May 11, 2015 and an invitation to the Meeting was published in issue 125 (5229) of Sega newspaper.
