In nearly 400 foster families there aren’t children settled, 10 % of them are voluntarily
According to the Agency of Social Helping’s database, from the beginning of the last year until 31.09.2013 - 1874 children have been settled in foster families. 187 of them live in voluntarily foster families, and 1660 – in professional. In the nine months of year 2013 new 24 voluntarily foster and 574 professional families had been approved and booked. Thus in the country there are 1796 foster families, from which 1658 receive salary.
In 391 families lack settled children. 374 from them are professional, and 44 – voluntarily foster families.
The most families lacking children by the end of September 2013 are inShumen. There are 35 families awaiting settlement of a child, 33 from which professional and 2 voluntarily. On a second place by number of families lacking children is theprovinceofPazardzhik, where children are being expected by 30 professional and 2 voluntarily families. Third place divide the districts ofPleven(26 foster families; 25 professional, 1 voluntarily) andVarna(26 foster families; 23 professional, 3 voluntarily).
Sofiahas the most voluntarily foster families lacking children– 8, followed byStara Zagora(6), Blagoevgrad (4) and Vratza (4). The most approved foster parents lacking children are in districtsShumen(33), Pazardzhik (30),Pleven(25),Varna(23), Veliko Tarnovo (16).
