NAFC is Once Again a Part of the International Foster Care Organization Family
After a short pause, the National association of foster care renewed its membership in the International foster care organization (IFCO). The registration number of the NAFC is 8108.
NAFC has always been a part of the world foster parents’ family. The NAFC’s regulations state that the Association adopts the values, principles and goals of the IFCO, stationed in London. Also, the world foster care conference, managed by IFCO took place in Bulgaria in 2012, under the leadership of “For our children” Foundation and with the partnership of our organization.
„I’m proud that we are once again joining the International foster care organization. Being a young association, it is important to us to have friends and partners with whom to tackle the challenges of foster care.“ said Miroslav Dolapchiev, president of the NAFC.
The international foster care organization (IFCO) is an international network dedicated solely to the promotion and support of family based foster care across the world. Membership in the organization is voluntary and the goal of IFCO is to provide a multi-cultural platform for young people, foster carers, social workers, academics, researchers, volunteers, media, policy makers and others to network and share information on a global basis. IFCO fully supports recent UN legislation stating that all children have the right to a family and our role is to enable the exchange of information through our conferences, consultation and networking to facilitate improvement and promotion of this model within a fostering environment.
