NFCA and Mtel Receive Joint Award for “Foster the Future” Project
Mtel’s campaign "Foster the Future", which provides funding for the National Foster Care Association, won second place in the prestigious national competition of Bulgarian Public Relations Association in the category "Corporate Social Responsibility - business". "PR prize" is held for the tenth year in a row and it gives recognition to companies, projects and initiatives that raise public awareness of products, causes and goods. This year the initiative of NFCA and Mtel was honored for providing together support to foster care in Bulgaria on a national level - by increasing sensitivity, awareness, but also by supporting real children and their foster parents.
The award is a great recognition by communications professionals that recognize "Foster the future" campaign as a sustainable, feasible and useful campaign.
"To us this prize is a significant acknowledgement, because it gives us confidence that we have made the right steps - we have chosen the right partner, we have invested the right efforts, we have encouraged Mtel and its employees to believe in our cause. Last but not least, this initiative makes us financially independent from the state and thus we can guarantee our fairness and attitude towards foster parents", commented during the award ceremony Alexander Milanov, NFCA Board Member.
Seven were the awards, received by our partner Mtel. The corporate campaign "20 years Mtel", the internal project “Mtel Olympics”, as well as the online initiative "Kidnapping Mtel’s Twitter profile” won first place. “Silver awards were given for the long-term company's commitment to the cause of foster care in Bulgaria "Foster the Future" and for the "Strategy for Mtel’s Employer Branding”. The ceremony "Mtel Media Masters 2015 - Five Scenarios for Tomorrow" and the presentation of the book "Intertwined Lines" took third places respectively in "Special Event" and "Corporate PR campaign".
