Svetozar Georgiev Was Elected as Vice President of the National Foster Care Association
Svetozar Georgiev (49 years old) was elected as Vice President of the National Foster Care Association during the General Assembly, held in Plovdiv on July 4, 2015.
Svetozar Georgiev is a professional foster parent from Stara Zagora. He has been engaged in the foster care since 2007 when he became a foster parent for the first time. Until now he has taken care of two children in long-term foster care. Svetozar Rusev graduated from the High School of Industrial Chemistry as a specialist in instrumentation and automation. He has been an entrepreneur for over 13 years and has his own business. He is married and his wife is a general practitioner. They have a daughter together.
Svetozar Rusev became a foster parent after seeing the very first foster care campaign in Stara Zagora. Without knowing much about foster care, he got involved in the name of the children’s well-being.
He is especially interested in providing foster care to refugee children. Svetozar Georgiev is a member of the Foster Care Committee, which approves foster families in Stara Zagora Province. He has been a board member of the NFCA since its inception 5 years ago.
