National association of foster care begins the initiative „Letter to Concerned about care“.

With this initiative the association wants to bring closer foster parents to authorities and people who make decisions about them and the children they look for. In the letter to the prime-minister Plamen Oresharski the foster parents can write a story about the child they take care for, for his positive development in the family and for the problems which foster parents and their children meet. 

„Very often for people who make politics, children and their foster parents are just statistics. Behind the numbers stand real child stories, feelings, emotions and problems.”  Says the chairman of the National association of foster care Miroslav Dolapchiev.

All foster parents’ letters will be sending to the prime-minister Oresharski, the social minister Ademov and the chairman of the State agency of child protection Eva Zhecheva in the beginning of December. Problems shared from parents in their letters will be summarized, and NAFC will make recommendations to solve them.
